I was driving down the expressway a couple weeks ago and came up behind a rolling billboard with a whole lot of lettering everywhere. As I got closer, I found myself trying to take it all in. There were different faith messages all over it. Even though I slowed and began to wonder what it was going to say, I already knew the perspective that I was going to find. If you ever have seen the Nooma “Bullhorn”, well you get the picture.
I find myself giving the guy some props for taking the initiative to take a brand new car and putting money out to describe a belief he has. Once that line of thought passes (quickly), I found myself just shaking my head and thinking “dude you were so close!” When you read his vehicle, it is full of biblical truth. With that being said, where is the compassion that is lived out through the scriptures by who was it?…….oh ya, JESUS!!!!!!!!!!! If only this guy understood that probably the majority of women who decide on abortion as the answer are living regretful lives. Post abortion feelings, emotions, physical traits are never anticipated before hand. So in the middle of this storm girls are fighting with, they get to roll down the street and get a face full of this car. If Jesus was in another car watching this, would He be saying “that’s right, you tell her!” or would he be yelling “NOOOOOOO! Tell her I love her and I can fill that void she feels and restore her.” Which is glaringly possible?
Let’s take the time to truly look at our own hills we die on and say ” is my perspective in line with God’s perspective?”
